Aynor is where the Grand Strand turns into farm country. Lots are measured in acres instead of feet, the oaks around the older houses are enormous, and the pines along the field edges have grown for fifty years without anyone paying attention. It is a different kind of tree work than the beach, and we like it.
Trees in Aynor
Big oaks around farmhouses and older homes in and near town. Live oaks, white oaks, and water oaks that were planted or left for shade generations ago. The live oaks and white oaks mostly need deadwood removed and limbs lifted off the roof. The water oaks are reaching the end of their lives and start dropping limbs the size of small trees.
Pines along field edges, drives, and property lines, and in the subdivisions that have gone in along Highway 501 and Highway 319. These are the storm trees, and out here they often stand near barns, sheds, and equipment as well as houses.
Pecans and hickories, which are wonderful trees and drop big limbs without warning as they age.
Room to work, but not always
On a big lot with nothing under the tree, we can fell it whole and buck it up on the ground, which is faster and cheaper than rigging. When the tree is over the house, the barn, the well house, or the fence, we climb and take it down in pieces the same as we would on a beach lot. Keep the wood
More people in Aynor burn wood than anywhere else we work, and a big oak removal is a lot of it. Brush, fence lines, and small clearing
A lot of Aynor calls are not one tree. They are a fence line grown up in sweetgum and pine, a corner of a lot that needs opening up, or a pile of limbs from a storm that is too big to burn. We cut, load, and haul. Tell us what you have and how much of it. See debris and brush hauling.
